Back to School Teacher Gift – A Noteworthy Year

Summer’s dwindling lazily to fall, and soon school will be back in session.  As I write this post, teachers across the nation are working in their classrooms to prepare for the coming school year.

As a former teacher, trust me when I say they are hard at work. They are moving furniture, creating cute bulletin boards, examining student records, looking at curriculum updates,  planning instruction for the coming days, attending workshops to make sure their credentials are up to date, and SO MUCH more!

Then, in just a few days or weeks, they’ll welcome our babies into their classroom and heart for the coming year.  I could literally write an entire post about the struggles of teachers these days  but chances are you’ve encountered that narrative on your social feeds already and know it’s true.

Heroes don’t wear capes these days.  They walk among us disguised as everyday people, roaming the halls of your local school.

So if anyone deserves a gift, it’s a teacher.

I love to start the school year with a sweet back to school teacher gift to remind our teachers how much we truly appreciate them.

It doesn’t have to be anything lavish and expensive to make their day.  I’ve done other back to school gifts in the past, but this year I bought some adorable notebooks and was inspired to create a tag to gift them with.

Back to School Teacher Gift – A Noteworthy Year

As a teacher, I loved carrying around a little notebooks.  They are great for taking notes in meetings.  I carried one on the playground to jot down random instructional ideas that would pop into my mind at recess.

These little beauties get bonus points for being so cute!  If you’ve been here before, you know I’m sort of obsessed with Matilda Jane. These notebooks were part of their July Back to School release.  At the time of this post still available on the site.

When I saw these whimsical, vintage designs, I instantly knew they’d make a super cute back to school gift for my girls teachers.

When they arrived, I knew I’d need a super cute pen to go with these.  I hopped on Amazon and found some beautiful rose gold pens I thought would compliment the notebooks perfectly.

I found some MJ wallpaper with these designs and whipped up these cute printable tags that work perfectly with these prints.  Check out a few of the combinations below.  There are 3 different prints on the notebooks and 4 different cards, and tons of cute possibilities!

You can grab these printables free by clicking on the picture above, or you can click here to save them to your computer.

If Matilda Jane isn’t in your budget at this time, I saw tons of cute options on Amazon.  I’ll link a few below that I think would work well with these tags.

You can also check out my other DIY back to school teacher gift which is a cute back to school prayer and survival kit! I’ve also pinned a ton of ideas on Pinterest, so be sure to give me a follow there!  Be sure to share your own teacher gift ideas in the comments!
