FREE TRANSPORTATION THEMED PRESCHOOL LESSON PLAN

We’ve reached the end of my 10 days of Free Preschool Lesson Plans series and today I’m sharing a theme that’s tried and true.  It’s always a hit with my boys, but girls have a blast with this too.

Today we’re talking things that go.

Planes, boats, trains, bikes, cars, submarines; all forms of transportation.

This week I’ve lined up a transportation themed  preschool lesson plan loaded with ton of fun crafts and activities!  So grab yourself a set of toy cars and lets get rolling.

See what I did there? Admit it, you love my cheesy Mom puns.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check my other free preschool lesson plans.   I’ve done months of planning for you.  All you have to do is download and print!  I’m also working with a ton of other amazing bloggers offering freebies!  Be sure to check them out as well!

Books about Transportation

There are lots of fun little books in this week’s plans!  One of my favorites is the Little Blue Truck!  You should be able to grab this and the other titles at your local library but if not I spotted some on Amazon in the used books super cheap!

Preschool Transportation Crafts

This fun little craft is also a great way to learn about shapes!

These airplane crafts are super cute and sure to get lots of play!

I love these sweet and simple sponge trains!

These hot air balloons are super fun and make great decorations!

How cute are these Cars inspired crafts?!  I spy Lightening McQueen and good ole Tow-mater!

Transportation Activities for Preschoolers

This activity is a super fun way to practice the letters in names!

Here’s another fun activity to practice shapes!  Kids will love driving around, exploring shapes!

These experiments actually call for you to make your own ramps.  However, we just used materials we had handy.  We had a lot of fun with this!

This is such a neat experiment!  It’s fun to do in the bathroom or outside if you have access to a water source!

This is another really need experiment!  You can also attempt it with other objects also and observe what happens with heavier and lighter items.

Transportation Worksheets for Preschoolers

There are lots of skills practiced in this week’s free worksheets!

There you have it!  This transportation themed preschool lesson plan is the last in my 10 day series.  Stay tuned though, I’ve got lots more awesome content coming in the next couple of weeks!
