Farm Party Animals Birthday Party

Calling all Party Animals!  This post is full of fun ideas that will have you partying til’ the cows come home!

This year for her birthday, my daughter had a very specfic request.

She wanted a farm party animals birthday party.

Now there are hundreds of ideas for party animals and a hundred different ideas for a farm animal party, but not many of the two combined.

I struggled to find ideas for her theme specifically, so I ended up merging ideas from both topics.  The end result was some sweet and simple down home fun on the farm!

Farm Party Animals Birthday Outfit

For my birthday girl, I whipped up an adorable and super simple birthday shirt.  I found some farm animal silhouettes and traced them, then added the text, “Party Animal.”  Underneath I typed “since 2013.”

She wanted the rest of her outfit to be cowprint so we found a  super cute cow print outfit on Amazon.  It’s actually a cropped tank and shorts that she’s excited to wear again when the weather warms.

Farm Party Animals Food

I sat out a tray with Chex Mix for our chicken feed.  I found this awesome set of galvinized platters on Amazon for just $10.  These are sure to be handy for summer cookouts too!

These Rice Krispie hay bales looked adorable loaded onto this tractor toy. I wish I could say I they were homemade but they were ripped straight out of Rice Krispie packages!

I also whipped up a few batches of pigs in a blanket.  Poor piggies got the short end of the stick at the farm party animal birthday party.

I’d orginally planned to have fruit and veggie platters for my farmers market.  As luck would have it, our area experienced a produce shortage just as our party date rolls around.  So instead our Farmer’s Market menu was very limited.

This year’s party snuck up on me and I forgot to order a cake.  However, I was pleasantly surprised with how well Sam’s club did with the cakes!

I asked them to modify their dinosaur design for this one and just make it look like a pasture.  They did a great job and the cake was very tasty!

The cake toppers were designs I quickly created in my Silhouette Software.  It’s hard to tell with the shadow in the picture, but the black piece says Party Animal.

I forgot to take a picture of the plates, but we found some adorable cow print plates on Amazon.  I also grabbed the farm animals for the cupcakes and the super cute checkered tableclothes off Amazon as well!

Party Animals Decorations

I had a ton of fun with the decorations for this party.  My favorite decoration was perhaps the simplest too.

My daughter has tons of Schliech toys laying around.  I decided to use them and whip up some quick party hats for them to wear. I just used some scrapbook paper and a tiny pom ball hot glued to the top.

I found these small wooden chalkboards at the Dollar tree.  I slapped a messy coat of paint on them to make them look more distressed, and then created some fun vinyl designs.

My table centerpieces also utlized the signs and my party animals in cute hats.  I also used some galvinized pots with hay and burlap added to hold some cute centerpieces I made on the Silhouette.

This tray and pot were from a set I purchased at Walmart years ago.  I can’t find it currently, but I did find a similar one on Amazon that was equally as cute and affordable!

I also made this cute sign that now hangs in my daughter’s room.  I grabbed the blank chalkboard in the Target Dollar Spot awhile ago.  Every time they have blank chalkboards I load up because they always come in handy for cheap party projects!

Farm Party Animals Birthday Party Favors

These ears of popcorn were a super fun and easy craft I found on Pinterest.  All you need is some celephane treat bags, green tissue paper, twine, tape and popcorn.

I rolled up the bags so they were in a cylinder type shape and then wrapped them in green tissue paper and twisted the bottom.  I taped as needed to hold in place and then I tied off the twist with some twine.

I whipped up a design and added a cute tag.  You can grab your own (nameless) tags here or by clicking on the picture.

We also had tons of tiny farm animals leftover.  I set those out on the table as well to grab as favors.  (The Mermaid pop-its were part of her sister’s party).

And that is how you throw together a farm party animals birthday party folks.

My Southern self is pretty proud of the results!
